Section 5 — Permission for Use of Images

I give my permission for photographs, video and audio recordings taken of me during this session to be used for all of the following purposes, by both the student named in Section 1 and Online Makeup Mastery / London Academy of Makeup (AOFM):

– Educational purposes. Use in teaching materials, course content, tutorial and demonstration videos, lesson examples, student handbooks, webinars and training resources produced by Online Makeup Mastery / London Academy of Makeup (AOFM), including materials made available to other students.

– Assessment and marking. Submission to Online Makeup Mastery / London Academy of Makeup (AOFM) for grading, internal moderation, quality assurance, external verification and accreditation purposes.

– Student portfolio. Inclusion in the student's personal and professional portfolio, including their website and printed portfolio.

– Marketing and promotion. Use by Online Makeup Mastery / London Academy of Makeup (AOFM) in prospectuses, printed materials, its website, advertising and other promotional media.

– Social media. Publication by the student and/or Online Makeup Mastery / London Academy of Makeup (AOFM) on social media platforms.

– Editorial and press. Submission to magazines, competitions, awards and industry publications.

This permission applies worldwide, in all media whether now known or developed in the future, and continues unless I withdraw it in accordance with clause 7 below.

Section 6 — Terms

1. Voluntary participation. I am taking part in this session voluntarily. I have had the nature of the session explained to me, including any hair, makeup or styling treatments to be carried out, and I consent to those treatments.

2. Ownership. I understand that the copyright in all images and recordings from this session belongs to the photographer and/or Online Makeup Mastery / London Academy of Makeup (AOFM), and that I am granting permission for my likeness to be used as set out in Section 5. I do not acquire any ownership in the images.

3. No fee. Unless separately agreed in writing, I understand that I will not receive payment, royalties or other compensation for the uses I have permitted above.

4. Editing. I understand images may be cropped, retouched, colour-corrected or otherwise edited, and may be shown alongside other images and text.

5. No unlawful or offensive use. Images will not be used in any way that is defamatory, indecent, or contrary to the laws or public morals of the country in which they are published.

6. Data protection. My personal details on this form will be held securely by Online Makeup Mastery / London Academy of Makeup (AOFM) and the student solely for the purposes of verifying consent and administering the course. They will not be sold or shared with third parties except where required by law. This form will be retained for 3 years and then destroyed.

7. Withdrawing consent. I may withdraw my consent at any time by writing to [email protected]. Withdrawal takes effect for future use only. It does not apply to materials already printed, published, submitted for assessment or incorporated into course and teaching materials, or to copies already distributed, where withdrawal is not reasonably possible.

8. Governing law. This form is governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Where images are captured, stored or published in the United Arab Emirates, this consent is also given for the purposes of Federal Decree-Law No. 34 of 2021 on Combatting Rumours and Cybercrimes and Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data.

9. Electronic signature. I agree that a signature captured electronically, or a scanned or photographed copy of this signed form, has the same effect as an original signature.
